UPDATE.....it's been awhile...check us out on facebook!!

So, it has been a while to say the least. Lot's of happenings. First, here is Lilly. Last the blogging world has seen of her I think she was 3 months old. She is 71/2 months old in this picture. She has been a great dog...we love her, but Macy LOVESSSSSSSSSSSSSss her!!! Unfortunetly, we are finding out that Macy is allergic to Lilly. So the thought of being a vet. one day may be just a dream. Speaking of Macy, she turned 5 recently...hard to believe that time has come and gone.Caleb is doing well and has transfered to public school and with that played football for the first time. He had a great time and did pretty good for his first year.So as 2009 came to an end I celebrated another birthday and the year of "40" closed. With this year a lot of travel took place. It started with a wonderful trip to Chicago with my wonderful husband; Whistler, Canada with the family to ski; Disney Land/Cruise with John's whole family; and to end the year... a trip to Paris with someone I am glad to call friend. I am very grateful for all the blessings that have come our way and thank God for them all. I am praying for a very healthy, happy New Year for all--family and friends!!

Here is Lilly our newest girl! She is Caleb's girl really, but we all take ownership!! She is SO happy, sweet, easy going and best of all house trained???!! I can't believe the later...she is only 8 1/2 weeks old but the lady who raised the puppies had them in her house and had them on a schedule for going outside and she has continued with making it to the grass before doing her business!
The picture of Lilly and Macy has a very cute story behind it. John told Macy--while he was getting ready for work Wed. morning "you can play with Lilly just don't let her out of her crate." When he walked back in to check on them both that is what he saw!! How cute is that...I guess she thought if I can't let her out then I will join her!!

So much to say so little time..

Hello to all who follow my blog and sorry for such a long time between posts! Please look to the right of this page and you can view my most recent adventure without me having to post 175 new pictures of the occasion. It was a family trip (19 of us total) which included John's Mom, all four of her children, their spouses and their children. It also included one of the grandchildren's spouse and their two kids!! WHEW! A lot of people is how I could have summed that up. It was 7 days at Walt Disney World in Orlando and 3nights/4 days at sea on the Disney Wonder cruise ship. I have a few revelations from the trip but not enough time to share them...just call or see me and I will explain!!
A few other happenings are that Caleb has turned 10 and finished up well in the 4th grade at Faith. He will be going to White Plains Middle School next year for the 5th grade and is looking forward to the change as well as already missing the friends he will be leaving behind.
We had a sad passing of our beloved Labrador Retriever, Sadie, the day after we returned from vacation. John gave her to me the Dec. before we married in March. She was 12 1/2 years old and she will be greatly missed!
To end on a positive note we are getting another puppy (for Caleb's birthday present). We are looking for a yellow Labrador Retriever and hope to have one sometime in July -- a new baby at the house! YEA!

Grandma & Grandpa come for a visit!

John's Dad and step-Mom came for a visit on their way back to their home in Branson, Mo. George celebrated his 75th birthday a few days before their arrival so we helped continue the celebration while they were here with cake and ice cream and balloons. We had a great visit and look forward to seeing them again soon!

A forth grade field trip with Caleb to the State Capital in Montgomery
Alabama. The trip was nice and good to be able to spend some time
with Caleb alone (meaning not with Macy!)...even if it is with 22 other students.
We visited the Rosa Parks museum along with the Civil Rights museum
and the State Capital building. I have to say the Rosa Parks
portion of the trip was the most informative and best put
together with our favorite tour guide!! Good times.

So the correct answer is the Cafe Du Monde near the French quarter. If you have not been there it is a must do! The picture is after consumption!
